The vehicle was started, tested and inspected to ensure the engine was running correctly before being returned to service. Luckily the engine had not been started, so the AdBlue was contained to the fuel tank and the lines around it. That kept the job relatively straightforward: we cleaned and decontaminated the whole tank system on site.

Once the crew had finished their job, they met us back at the van for the restart. We started the engine, tested and checked everything, and they were on their way to their next job. If you put AdBlue in your tank, the best thing you can do is not start the engine. That keeps it out of the fuel system and engine, where it causes corrosion and much bigger repairs.
