Fuel contamination is anything in your tank that shouldn’t be there: water, dirt and rust, microbial sludge, or fuel that has gone stale. It can come from condensation, a damaged fuel cap, an old tank, a vehicle that has sat for months, or occasionally bad fuel from the servo itself. Left in the system, it blocks filters and damages fuel pumps and injectors.
