How it started
How Rapid Fuel Assist Started
Ben launched Rapid Fuel Assist with a single ute, a full set of equipment and a commitment to doing things properly. Ben brings years of mechanical experience, and what began as one person ready to help Melbourne drivers in a stressful situation has grown into a small team. Max and Nathan are trained mechanics who are now specialist wrong fuel technicians, so whoever turns up to your car knows engines inside and out.
We’re not a call centre and we’re not a franchise. When you call 1300 692 469 you’re speaking directly with us, the people who will show up, do the job and make sure you’re back on the road. There’s no subcontractor in the middle adding a markup.
Being a young business doesn’t mean inexperienced. The knowledge, equipment and processes behind Rapid Fuel Assist were built deliberately from day one, because cutting corners on a job that involves fuel systems, vehicle safety and waste disposal isn’t something we’re willing to do.

Most of our work is petrol in a diesel or diesel in a petrol car, at the servo, on the roadside or at home. Dealerships and workshops, including Ford, Mitsubishi and Toyota dealers, call us in for the fuel side of their jobs, and we’re cleared to work airside at Melbourne Airport. We also look after fleets and business vehicles.
The ute has had a bit of a glow up since day one, wrapped and signwritten by the team at Boss Sign & Print. What matters more is what’s on the back: a fully self-contained mobile rescue unit carrying everything needed to drain, flush and refuel your vehicle on the spot.

Handling and transporting fuel waste isn’t something just anyone can legally do. EPA Victoria requires specific permits to remove, transport and dispose of fuel waste.
Rapid Fuel Assist holds an EPA Victoria permit for fuel waste handling and transport. We carry the waste ourselves and take it to a licensed waste facility, so there’s no third party involved and no extra disposal fee on your bill.
