LMCT+ Petrol Adelaide: Our Experience With Their Petrol Stations So Far

Rapid Fuel Assist attending a wrong fuel call-out at the LMCT Plus Preston petrol station forecourt

In Melbourne? If you’ve misfuelled at an LMCT Plus station or anywhere else, call Rapid Fuel Assist on 1300 692 469.

In Adelaide? Call our partner business Rapid Wrong Fuel Solutions for wrong fuel recovery.

LMCT Plus, the petrol station chain founded by Adrian Portelli, opened its first Melbourne location earlier this year and is now expanding to Adelaide. We handled a wrong fuel job at the Melbourne LMCT Plus site, and based on that experience the fuel quality and pricing have been solid. If you’ve misfuelled at an LMCT Plus station or anywhere else, don’t start the engine, call Rapid Fuel Assist on 1300 692 469.

When LMCT Plus opened its first Melbourne petrol station, it got a huge amount of attention, and so did our coverage of it. That traffic has settled since, but with Adelaide’s first location confirmed, we’re seeing a fresh wave of interest from Adelaide drivers wanting to know what to expect. So here’s an honest update based on what we’ve actually seen.

Please Note: We’re Not LMCT Plus

Just to be clear, Rapid Fuel Assist is not affiliated with LMCT Plus, and we’re not a point of contact for their pricing, opening hours or station enquiries. We’ve had people call us thinking we’re the petrol station, we’re not. If you’re after current LMCT Plus prices, PetrolSpy is a good place to check. If you’ve put the wrong fuel in your car at one of their petrol stations or anywhere else, that’s when to call us.

What We’ve Seen So Far: Fuel Quality

Adrian has publicly shared documentation showing their fuel is supplied directly by Mobil Oil Australia out of the Mobil Yarraville terminal, covering diesel, unleaded and premium grades. One shipment we’ve seen documented totalled close to 47,000 litres across diesel, unleaded and premium grades in a single load, sourced straight from the terminal rather than through a secondary distributor. This is the same major supplier used by other well-known fuel retailers in Melbourne, so from a fuel quality standpoint there’s no reason to expect anything different at an LMCT Plus bowser compared to any other Mobil-supplied station.

The One Job We’ve Handled at LMCT Plus

We’ve attended one wrong fuel job at the Preston (Melbourne, Victoria) location so far, a Hyundai Tucson that had a full tank of petrol added to its diesel engine. We arrived at night, drained and flushed the fuel system on-site at the bowser, and had the vehicle back on the correct fuel within the hour. The job was completed on-site at the standard rate of $450. Based on that job, we haven’t seen anything that suggests the station itself contributed to the mix-up, misfuelling happens at any servo, new or established, and this was a straightforward recovery.

What We’ve Seen So Far: Pricing

Pricing at the Melbourne location has been competitive, which lines up with what they have been promoting as part of their offering. As with any new fuel station, we’d always recommend keeping an eye on your own receipts and mileage in the first few months, simply as good practice, not because we’ve seen anything of concern.

What Adelaide Drivers Should Know

We’re Melbourne-based and don’t currently operate in Adelaide ourselves, but if you misfuel at the new Adelaide location, our partner business Rapid Wrong Fuel Solutions is Adelaide-based and set up to help. Whichever city you’re in, the advice is the same: if you’ve put the wrong fuel in, don’t start the engine, and call for help straight away.

What’s to Come: Tarneit and Beyond

Adrian Portelli isn’t stopping at Melbourne and Adelaide. A Tarneit location is also on the way, and they’ve been vocal about wanting to keep expanding into new suburbs and states. As new locations open, we’ll keep updating our coverage based on what we actually see, real jobs, real experience, not just announcements.

Questions Answered

When is LMCT Plus Adelaide opening?

Straight from an instagram post, Adrian has confirmed they’ve taken possession of the Adelaide site, with an opening date still to be announced. We’ll update this post once a date is confirmed.

Is LMCT Plus fuel safe to use?

Based on what we’ve seen and from their own supply documentation, their fuel is sourced from Mobil Oil Australia, a major supplier. We haven’t seen anything in our one completed job there to suggest a quality issue with the fuel itself.

Can I call Rapid Fuel Assist about LMCT Plus opening hours or pricing?

No, we’re a wrong fuel recovery service, not affiliated with them directly. For station-specific questions, check PetrolSpy or their own channels directly.

What should I do if I misfuel at an LMCT Plus Petrol station?

The same as at any station, don’t start the engine, and call us on 1300 692 469 straight away.

We’ll keep updating this as LMCT Plus expands and as we see more jobs at their locations. If you’re in Melbourne and need wrong fuel recovery at an LMCT Plus station or anywhere else, call us on 1300 692 469. Adelaide drivers can reach Rapid Wrong Fuel Solutions directly.

As more of their locations open across Victoria and South Australia, we expect to see more jobs like this one. We’ll keep this post updated with what we actually see on the ground, not just announcements.
